Field Trip

Our first camping trip pictures

Martin Dies Jr State Park is a beautiful park and it is a wonderful place to bring the children.  We had a poorly prepped plan but in reality no amount of planning when it is 3 adults against 8 kids and Mother Nature is enough planning.  We did a little bit of everything such as hiking, biking, campfire stories and hotdog roasting, early morning coffee and yoga and just downtime.  And that was just the Moms!   You can find PB&j Mom’s account of do’s and don’ts here and ~h’s play by play here.    We tacked on our own visit to the Nature Center before leaving the park,  then my hometowns Homecoming Parade and visiting with family and friends. We are looking forward to doing it again very soon.

What a week

We had such a busy week last week!  First was Not back to School Day where we partied at a local park then met up with Auntie S for more fun at the beach.  The next day we went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science where we checked out the exhibits and Legends of Flight.  Then it was time for a little mini vacation so we blasted off to Space Center Houston and stayed in our favorite Hotel.  I won’t bore you with more words when pictures are so much more fun!

Fun Fun Fun

We are having so much fun this week that I haven’t had any time at all for blogging, though I have lots of ideas in the works.

Monday was our 1st annual Not Back to School Party

Tuesday we spent the day at the Houston Museum of Natural Science

Thursday is the start of our annual Space Center Vacation.  Pay no attention to the people who will tell you we only go for the gorgeous warm saltwater pool and the lovely room where Mom has to do absolutely nothing.  They may be right.

I will be back next week with fun stories to tell and even more pictures to share.  Ta Ta!
